Boosting Literacy

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Montana mails free, age-appropriate books to Montana children from birth to age five every month. An initiative of the Treasure State Foundation, the program is helping Montana’s youngest citizens be ready to read and ready to learn in Kindergarten.

First Lady Susan Gianforte

Susan Gianforte is the First Lady of Montana and serves in a volunteer capacity as the president of the Treasure State Foundation, which she founded in 2021. She is passionate about education, specially early literacy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Susan earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) from Cornell University, a master's degree, also in ME, from UC Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration from New York University. The Governor and First Lady have four grown children and five grandchildren.  She considers herself blessed and honored to serve as Montana's First Lady, working alongside her husband.
